Free CST Group Sessions to help people living with dementia mate wareware stay mentally and socially active for longer.

Staying mentally and socially active can make a real difference for people living with dementia – helping maintain everyday routines, connection, and overall wellbeing for longer.

Our Cognitive Stimulation Sessions (CST) are small, supportive group sessions designed to gently engage the mind while creating space for connection with others. Through regular participation, CST can help support memory, communication, and quality of life for people living with mild to moderate dementia.

Each session includes a mix of shared activities such as:

  • conversations and storytelling
  • discussion of everyday topics and current events
  • art and creative expression
  • music
  • word and thinking games
  • light physical activities

The first session is an introduction, open to participants and their family/whānau. It’s a chance to meet the team, understand how the sessions work, and see if it feels like the right fit.

This is a free programme. Registration is required.
