Our Voice
Our Voice is a consumer network open to all people in the Waitemata region.
We are led by a council, made up of Taka Peters (Chair), Julie Adams (Secretary/Network Coordinator), Ricky Brown (Deputy Chair), Clinton Ford, Matt Nowell and Kerri Butler. All council members have lived experience.
Vision
Our voice is a community where we connect, share and belong. It is safe, healing, supportive and compassionate.
Our Purpose
To gather people with lived experience to support one another and to have an independent voice that influences greater understanding of mental health and addiction challenges.
We aim to do this through:
- Consumer network
- Monthly events (1st Monday of the month 1:30pm)
- Having a presence in existing processes or forums at Equip
- Provide input to Equip in a range of areas to enhance service delivery
