Sustainable Solutions – Healthy Living

Do you support someone who experiences major mental illness? Would you like to receive support for yourself, through meeting with others in a similar situation such as yours?

Family Whānau Groups is a programme that is being offered to the families whānau of individuals who experience mental illness.

When you, as a family member and carer are confronted with ongoing stressful situations it is important that you have the skills to cope with it. This programme is designed to inform you more about mental illness, to give you tools to help the person in need and most importantly, to help yourself. We can only give if we have something to give.

The purpose of the groups are:
• To build a comprehensive support structure for the families and friends who are supporting people with mental health issues
• To help you cope with supporting your loved one through knowledge, support and self-development
